It’s been reported that Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho is not at the club’s training ground on Wednesday morning, leading to question marks over where the Portuguese tactician is.

The Red Devils suffered a disappointing 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford to Tottenham on Monday night, which followed their loss at Brighton.

In turn, the pressure is building on Mourinho and his players to start producing results, as they risk already falling off the pace set by their Premier League title rivals.

They’ll hope to get back on track when they face Burnley on Sunday, but as per The Sun, the squad is seemingly at Carrington without their manager on Wednesday morning as it’s claimed that Mourinho was neither seen leaving his hotel nor in his usual car on the way into the training ground, as seen in the image below.

There is of course the potential of a completely innocent reason for it, as he perhaps took an alternative method of travel or simply went in early to work as he looks to mastermind an upturn in results at Man Utd and quickly to relieve the pressure.

Nevertheless, his apparent absence from the training ground has sparked comment and it remains to be seen if he is indeed pictured overseeing sessions on Wednesday when the club release images while the Daily Mail later reported that he is in fact present.

Meanwhile, the Mail have also claimed that the 55-year-old could be one loss away from facing the axe, and so Sunday’s encounter with Burnley could well have serious importance for his future at Old Trafford and so it would seem completely nonsensical for him to not be at training this week.
