“A disgrace to football” – Mohamed Salah slaughtered by these angry fans for this key moment in Liverpool vs Newcastle

Mohamed Salah was branded a ‘disgrace” by a number of angry fans this afternoon, after the Egyptian winger almost seemed to dive to win a penalty for Liverpool in their match vs Newcastle.

The Reds were 1-0 up going into the second half following a fine half-volley from Dejan Lovren, with Salah’s goal from the spot early in the 2nd period putting the home side in a commanding position.

The decision to award the penalty looks to have been a key decision in the match, as Salah’s conversion of the spot kick all but ended Newcastle’s hope of coming away with a result this afternoon.

There was nothing wrong with Salah’s penatly, in fact it was actually quite good, however it was the decision to award the spot kick in the first place that seemed to rustle a few feathers.

The winger seemed to go down very easily following a slight tug on his arm from Newcastle defender Paul Dummett, something that has lead to a number of fans taking to Twitter to brand the player a ‘disgrace’.

Although there was clear contact from Dummett on Salah, it seems as if the Liverpool superstar did go down quite easily in an obvious to attempt to win a penalty for his side.

This lead to a whole host of fans taking to social media to vent their anger at Salah for reportedly ‘diving’ to win a penalty against the Magpies this afternoon.

To be honest, we can sort of see where they’re coming from…
