After their defeat to Torino on Sunday, many Inter fans began calling for the return of Jose Mourinho in place of current boss Luciano Spalletti.
It’s been an underwhelming campaign for the Nerazzurri thus far, as after returning to the Champions League, many expected them to kick on and make further progress.

Instead, they’ve already dropped down to the Europa League after failing to make it out of their group in Europe’s premier competition, while they’ve fallen woefully short of launching a genuine Serie A title bid this season.
Further, they sit just five points above rivals AC Milan, and so perhaps they will start looking over their shoulder rather than above them in the standings in the weeks ahead.
With their struggles in mind and with frustration building after their loss in Turin, many fans called for Spalletti to be sacked with several others having a specific replacement in mind.
As seen in the tweets below, many Inter fans are keen on the idea of a second stint in charge for Mourinho, who remains available after leaving Manchester United last month.
The Portuguese tactician arguably has work to do to restore his reputation after his spell at Old Trafford turned sour, with interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since leading them to eight consecutive wins.
In turn, Mourinho will surely want to get his next job right, but it remains to be seen if Inter do opt to make a change in the near future with pressure undoubtedly building on Spalletti to get them on track and pushing on.
