Liverpool’s new-look XI with Konate, Wijnaldum replacement & new striker is scary-good

Liverpool could be in for a healthy revamp this summer, with several players continually linked with the reigning Premier League champions.

After a relatively disappointing season this term, a few changes in the squad could be just what the doctor ordered for the Reds.

With Gini Wijnaldum’s contract set to run out this summer, and no news of an extension, Jurgen Klopp and co. will likely be handed the arduous task of replacing the Dutchman.

Compatriot Teun Koopmeiners has been credited with interest from Liverpool by Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, as the Reds seemingly target a more offensive midfielder.

Another name often thrown into the mixer with Liverpool is Patson Daka, and the 22-year-old has recently been tipped to sign for the Reds by the Daily Star.

It’s no secret Liverpool have struggled defensively this season – chiefly down to long-term injuries sustained by Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip, Nat Phillips and loan signing Ozan Kabak have taken on a central role at Anfield since January.

In an attempt to prevent such a short stock of centre-backs again, the Reds have reportedly made strides in completing the signing of RB Leipzig defender Ibrahima Konate.

That’s according to the reputable David Ornstein, who in his report for The Athletic claimed Liverpool are putting the finishing touches to the deal.

With a little shuffle, here’s how Liverpool could hypothetically line-up, including all three of the above ‘targets’ signed this summer…

  1. i dont know why all English People think, Hendo is good. the same People think, Wijnaldum is good.

We dont need anybody in midfield. We have Ox, Keita, Milli, Jones, Hendo, Thiago, Fabinho, Shaq, Csin, Clarkson….you must them give Playtime. Wijnaldum is the weakest player and stands in the Way. Keita is much better, but Klopp has ruin his career….the same like Ox. Who brings us 2018 so far? Oxlade, best scorer after the front. than he gets long injured….Klopp have never given him a chance. 30 Min and not more.

Now VVD is a longterm absente, will Klopp park him on the Bench?

Will VVD be the same like before?

Sell Firmino, he deliver nothing, Origi and Shaq too.

And most of all, you need a defender on the right place, TAA isnt one…

And Sack Klopp, same mistakes again and again…poor

  2. Konate ain’t happening, period.

    Kabak, yes. Varane possibly.

Wijnaldum is obviously joining Barcelona. Keita needs to leave, as do Matip, Origi, Ox, Shaqiri, Minamino, and Adrian.

Keep Trent, Robertson, Van Dijk, Gomez, Phillips, Henderson, Jones, Thiago, Salah, Jota and Mane.

Bring in Ramsey, Rice, Sancho, Malen and Koopmeiners.

Possibly even a new right back, a striker and an experienced goalkeeper.

Not really sure what Milner wants to do, if he wants to go into coaching he would be a great role model for younger players.

  3. Allow Gini and Origi to go, use the money to bring in Haaland or Sancho and Konate for us, we know Klopp have try for us thanks

  4. the biggest problem is the coach .he just wants to try experiments where they are not even necessary

  5. Keep = Alisson, Alexander Arnold, N Williams, Van Dijk, Ozan, Phillips, Robertson, Henderson, Chamberlain, Fabinho, Thiago, Chamberlain, Keita, Mane, Salah, Jota, Elliott, Woodburn, Jones, Shaqiri

Sell or loan out = Adrian, Kelleher, Tsmikas, Milner, Larouci, R Williams, V D Berg, Gomez, Lewis, Kane, Cain, Clarkson, Wijnaldum, Origi, Firmino, Matip, Koumetio, Davies,
