Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel becomes just the second ever manager to achieve this vs Pep Guardiola

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel really has something over Pep Guardiola, with the German tactician now beating the Manchester City boss in three games in a row in all competitions.

Kai Havertz’s goal have Chelsea a 1-0 win over Man City in last night’s Champions League final, continuing Tuchel’s incredible start to life at Stamford Bridge since he replaced Frank Lampard back in January.

Remarkably, this result means Guardiola has lost a cup final for just the second time in his entire career, with the last one coming during his time in charge of Barcelona ten years ago…

It’s also the first cup final defeat for Guardiola at City – and in the one competition they’ve been absolutely desperate to win as well.

This is superb work by Tuchel, who clearly seems to know how to get the better of the world class Spanish tactician – something not many other managers can claim.

Chelsea’s win last night now means they’ve won the Champions League twice in their history, with this victory coming nine years after their penalty shoot-out success against Bayern Munich.
