Man United legend trolls Man City over CL final loss just days after Red Devils’ Europa League heartache

Manchester United legend Patrice Evra has aimed a cheeky dig at Manchester City after they lost yesterday’s Champions League final.

The Red Devils were just beaten in the Europa League final a few days ago, so this perhaps seems a bit tone-deaf from Evra, with his old club clearly not the force they once were, even if they undoubtedly have the edge over City when it comes to history.

See below for Evra’s tweet as he reference Man Utd’s past European glories…though they increasingly feel like a very, very long time ago now…

City were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea as they missed out on the chance to win their first ever European Cup – a trophy United have won three times in their history.

Still, if you were to bet on one of the Manchester clubs winning it some time in the next five years, you’d clearly back Pep Guardiola’s side over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.

MUFC were beaten on penalties by Villarreal in midweek and ended the season without any silverware once again, and of course their last two appearances in the Champions League final resulted in two defeats, both to Guardiola’s Barcelona side.
