Terms agreed: Bombshell report claims Arsenal have deal in place for world-class manager to take charge in October

Posted by

Arsenal have reportedly agreed terms in principle with Antonio Conte as Mikel Arteta struggles to get the engines firing.

The Gunners are 20th in the Premier League after three games played, with the club having been no strangers to the bottom half of the table under Arteta’s stewardship.

While Edu and the rest of the Arsenal hierarchy have showed faith in the Spaniard, there’s only so much that can be endured before a difficult decision has to be made.

According to Todo Fichajes, Arsenal are already putting the pieces in place to replace Arteta, should the club decide to terminate his contract in the coming weeks.

The report notes that terms have been agreed in principle with former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, with a view to him taking the reins from October.

Conte would surely be the Arsenal fans’ preference to get through the door if the club did find themselves in need of appointing a new manager.

With the Italian available, and open to the idea of joining Arsenal, as per the report, you wonder why Stan Kroenke hasn’t already pulled the trigger and made it happen.

Granted, sacking a manager after three games is unconventional, but Arteta has had enough of an opportunity to make things work at Arsenal – and he’s failed.

  1. Let’s not kid ourselves. A topnotch manager wouldn’t just be easily convinced to take over that chaotic bunch at Arsenal and the man in question is pretty choosy. But if by luck he has been convinced by Kroenkes then happy days.

Am looking forward to replace Arteta with an Englishman: Fat Sam Alladyce. I like his tactics, discipline and competitiveness.

  2. I love Atteta but I believe the shoes of Arsenal are too big for him I know is our player but I did not see the reason for handing coaching job to him I would love us act as soon as possible not as usual after loosing the chance for top again please act now!

  3. Appointing big sam as the Arsenal coach is a backwardness. Conte is a winner and must win with the current Arsenal players many rebels as average

  4. What ‘s all the hype about this rumour we were told to be excited before the transfer window and look what happened we were linked to everyone yet we ended up signing an over priced CB & GK and some unknown unproven kids. Don’t expect anything exciting to happen at Arsenal. Sadly those days are far behind us.

  5. So without putting the insulting “F” word, your off point opinion won’t be heard? Please go get some more coffee, you need to be awake.

  6. If Arsenal is investing in youthful players, then Arteta is misplaced. He need be the coach for the academy. The kind of football he wants to play has little chance of success even with a lot of money to spend. I have a feeling that this current team can win big matches if Arteta is asked to take holiday and asked not to interfere. The team is good, tactics poor, team selection horrible, style of play unhelpful. Do you notice that we dont easily get into the box of the opponent? Does Arsenal need Arteta? The answer is…… No.

  7. Arteta can’t take Arsenal in a top position, Let’s have Conte the experience Manager… Good news to Arsenal family.

  8. Arsenal were already in trouble when Wenger handed over the reigns and we needed someone like Conte to take control back then. Hopefully it is not too late for this to happen now.
