Arsenal star has no intention of signing new contract with the Gunners

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette reportedly has no intention of signing a new contract at the Emirates Stadium.

This is according to a report from football.london, who suggest it could pave the way for Lacazette to leave Arsenal in the January transfer window so the Gunners don’t miss out on bringing in a fee from his sale.

Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon back in 2017 and has been a solid performer for the north London giants, even if some fans might feel he’s also been a little underwhelming.

The Frenchman scored 28 goals in 30 league games in his final season with Lyon, but managed just half of that with 14 in 32 Premier League appearances for Arsenal the following season.

That’s also proven to be his highest league tally in an Arsenal shirt, with the player never managing to get to 20 goals in all competitions in his time in England.

A hard worker and intelligent forward, Lacazette has undoubtedly had some fine performances in his time at the Emirates Stadium, but Mikel Arteta could be forgiven for thinking he could replace him with a more clinical finisher.

ESPN have previously clamed that Lacazette could have a number of big-name suitors in for him, such as Juventus and Atletico Madrid.

  1. Lacazette is top striker sometimes people forget that the striker’s performance depends on the midfield and the wide players who often times fed him with ball but if such are lacking the striker will not score much goals what make Lacazette a good player / striker is he is not a dull player he works for the team in terms of falling back and help the defense and come forward again though he can be replaced but to get his quality is what I am in doubt but let’s watch and see

  2. He hasn’t been offered one let alone signing
He can leave, no contract will be offered
Signed for 52m and collect 182k a week, his goal scoring record is poor. For a striker that cost so much, he’s not delivered more than 15 goals a season.

Just not what we want. At 30, he can leave and collect 182k a month somewhere, we don’t care.

  3. If these two strikers were to go ,where is MA going to get the goals ? Every top team has at least four seasoned strikers .
Now that NU have been bought over ,where does that leave Arsenal? The self sustaining model must be supplemented with purchases of top quality players which are expensive.
The days when any team can win the epl on the cheap are over. If Arsenal fail to compete, they could be stick in the mid table for years
