The notion that a World Cup every two years wouldn’t be met with universal approval has been shown to be incorrect after Gary Lineker threw his weight behind Arsene Wenger’s revolutionary plan.
The former England star agrees that the best players want to be playing against the best as often as possible, but also noted the caveat of the issue of too many games.
Lineker argues that the tournaments could be achieved as long as qualification for the same was condensed into a much shorter period and with as little travelling as possible.

? “The only reason we think 4 years is great is because that’s how it’s always been.”@GaryLineker explains why he wouldn’t be against a biennial World Cup pic.twitter.com/IegCHs3jmP
