‘His head’s not in the game’ – Ian Wright blasts Leeds star after Arsenal defeat

BBC pundit Ian Wright was not happy with Raphinha’s performance yesterday at the Emirates Stadium.

Leeds suffered tough defeat which puts them in difficult situation with only three games to go in Premier League.

The visitors now find themselves in relegation zone with same points as Burnley and with Luke Ayling suspended for the three remaining matches after his red card against Arsenal.

“This is what I’m talking about with Raphinha, you don’t want to give them this much time and he was doing this all game like his head’s not in the game. He comes in, [they do] an easy one-two, and again Arsenal are straight into Luke Ayling who had a torrid time.” – said Wright on Match of the Day 2.

Raphinha is going through a bad period when Leeds need him the most. He has scored only once in the last 11 games for in Premier League and his future is up in the air as clubs can trigger his £25m release clause if Leeds get relegated this season.
