Arsenal ready to pay £100m asking price for star who’d be an even better signing than Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal are reportedly ready to pay big money for the transfer of RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku this summer.

The Frenchman enjoyed an outstanding 2021/22 campaign, showing himself to be up there with the very finest attacking players in Europe as he scored 35 goals in all competitions, whilst setting up 14 for his team-mates.

According to the Independent, Leipzig would ask for as much as £100m to let Nkunku go, but it seems Arsenal are one of the clubs who’d be willing to meet that asking price.

That would be some statement by the Gunners, and one imagines fans would be fully behind such a move to give them a dream replacement for the recently-departed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsenal have also been trying to sign Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City this summer, but Nkunku would probably be seen as the superior option.

Although Jesus is proven in the Premier League, he’s never really been automatic starter for City, and has undoubtedly benefit from the quality of service he gets in Pep Guardiola’s side, whereas it remains to be seen how he’d cope with becoming the focal point in an overall weaker line up.

Nkunku, by contrast, has been the main man for Leipzig and could surely only improve further at Arsenal or another major club.

  1. Arsenal is not a serious club look at Man City and Liverpool they all signed world class players but Arsenal still saying we’re closed to sign Gabriel Jesus,Youri Tielemans,Rafinha, Scamacca Ruben Nevez,Savic,Nkunku and others everyday this is what you’re posting on social media.

    1. yes brother. you exactly understood the arsenal club. i think the club is working for the sake of political purpose not foot ball activities. the board are simply joking on the fanbase. they are careless for the success of the club.

  2. We are just tired of impossible posts, next time they will talk about mbappe, missing out cheaper players like bissouma

  3. As Arsenal fans we all want the team to do well.

However no team in EPL can buy players with the efficiency of Man City ( cos their players are not even that expensive). City just seem to act very fast and Guardiola is a superstar coach who attracts the best players.

Liverpool have been also been very good buying players thanks to Klopp and some good money available to act very fast.

Arsenal simply cannot compete at that level but they can work the market cleverly and grow the team over three to five years. However they also need to add some experience to the side so as to maintain performance levels in line with improvements in other teams. A young team needs two or three hardened warriors that would help absorb the pressure of difficult games.

98 percent of pre-transfer stories are speculative. over 130 players were linked to Arsenal last summer currently over 100 are linked. So expect just one or two of these links to be actually true.

Do you really believe Arsenal is telling us they are trying to buy all of Gabriel Jesus, Youri Tielemans, Rafinha, Scamacca, Ruben Neves, Savic, Nkunku?

They would then have to get rid of Saka, ESR Odegaard, Martinelli, Lokonga and others…

    No team functions like that.

The internet is telling us all these stories not Arsenal themselves.

So we just watch and wait for the truth to surface.

    1. If you look at Liverpool, the club needs three years to be where they are now. It is possible to build the team gradually. I am not a fan (a Liverpool fan for sure) but I have deeper respect to Arsenal than United, City or Chelsea due to either similar attacking style of playing or financial situation.

    2. Hmmmmm……tell them pls, besides the players agents also put word out to journalists in the hope of starting a bidding war for their clients

  4. The club is trying to sell some players i.e:bernd leno, hector bellerine,maitland-niles,pablo mari, lucas torreira, guendozi, reiss nelson and nicolas pepe from the squad to get money for signing new players so you dont have to judge the board negatively because they know what they are doing!

  5. Signing players on social media but in real life nothing, we even nicknamed interested team the whole season

  6. We don’t need to spend tht money on Nkunku. WTF! Send it on Jesus and Teleimans. Do you think Nkunku will score 34goals in the Epl? Get a proven Epl striker in Jesus. I just want Jesus’ deal done

  7. I can not believe that Arsenal or in fact anyone will pay 100 million for Nkunku! This looks like being another one of the usual rumour mill article that various online web pages have to produce to reach article quotas and feed the frenzy for news even if the news/rumours may not be true.
