Journalist Chris Waugh thinks Eddie Howe would be frustrated to lose Martin Dubravka on Deadline Day.
The 33-year-old is set to join Manchester United on a loan deal as he wants a new challenge for himself.
Man UTD are keen to bring another goalkeeper to compete with David de Gea and the deal looks imminent right now.
“I think Howe is a little bit frustrated by the whole situation.
“He keeps saying ‘it’s not my decision’ and he keeps saying ‘I would prefer not to lose any players’, which seems a little bit unrealistic given that he has four senior ‘keepers and has too many players, so he really does need to move one of them on, but I think he would prefer if it wasn’t Dubravka, really, given the experience that he has.” – said Waugh for Pod on Tyne podcast.
The Slovakia international has been unhappy after dropping to the bench since Newcastle completed the signing of Nick Pope this summer.
