Newcastle long servant set to leave the club when season is concluded

Jamaal Lascelles is set to leave Newcastle United when summer transfer window opens, according to the Northern Echo.

According to the source, the 29-year-old might be subject of a clearout at St. James’ Park this summer as Dan Ashworth looks to offload a number of marginal players.

According to the Northern Echo, Ryan Fraser, Karl Darlow, Paul Dummett, and Matt Ritchie might all follow Lascelles out the door.

Despite still serving as club captain, Lascelles hasn’t played much. He has only played in one Premier League game thus far, which was the only loss of the season for Newcastle.

Lascelles continues to be a leader at St. James’ Park according to Eddie Howe. However, his stay at St. James’ Park might be coming to an end.

The Northern Echo also predicts that a couple of Premier League clubs will be interested in signing him.
