Nottingham Forest face FA investigation over furious social media post

Following their enraged and angry outburst on social media after their 2-0 Premier League loss to Everton, Nottingham Forest are reportedly going to be the subject of an FA investigation.

At Goodison Park, three penalty appeals made by the Reds were denied.

Ashley Young was lucky to avoid conceding a penalty for handball and avoided punishment for two different challenges inside the box.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s team suffered a significant loss that damaged their chance of them remaining in the Premier League, and VAR official Stuart Attwell did not reverse any of the on-field decisions made by Anthony Taylor.

Forest posted an angry reaction on their X account, formerly known as Twitter, after the match.

They accused Stuart Attwell of being a Luton Town supporter.

The FA have acknowledged that they would look into the club’s statement on the integrity of the game, according to The Express.

Following their team’s 2-0 loss to Everton, Nottingham Forest had three penalty requests turned down, which infuriated manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

With a game in hand, Everton are currently four points ahead of Forest, who are now only one point above the relegation zone as a result of the outcome.

Nottingham Forest could be in trouble for their furious twitter post.

Nottingham Forest manager spoke of his concerns

“We’ve tried to ignore it but so many times it’s repeating – bad decisions against us… not given,” he told Sky Sports, as reported by The Mirror.

“It’s very difficult to control the players and ask them to be focused and me myself to be composed, because it’s been very hard.

“The situation we are in doesn’t help. We have some stress and fear but that is not an excuse. It’s been clear what has been happening to us, not only in this game. I saw the images, it’s hard to take, the players see the images.

This month, Nottingham Forest could find out if they can make up the four points they were deducted for not adhering to the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

Their future in the Premier League is uncertain and they feel the decisions against Everton have made their life more difficult in the top flight.
