Leeds fear key player will leave the club for only £21m

According to a report in Italian outlet La Repubblica (reported by CalcioNapoli24), Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville is attracting interest from Juventus and Napoli.

The Whites are involved in the Championship play-offs this season and Leeds would be hoping their star player performs well.

The Championship club face Norwich in the semifinal with one of West Brom and Southampton to advance through to the final from the other semifinal.

The Dutchman is reportedly being watched by Napoli and Juventus following his incredible season in the Championship, where he scored 19 goals and provided nine assists across all competitions.

Napoli’s interest has come from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s links with Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

Should the Italian giants lose their key player, they will target the Leeds United attacker.

The report claims that both parties are reconsidering the move because it would cost €25 million (£21.5 million).

The two Serie A heavyweights consider this asking price to be somewhat high, and Leeds already rejected Burnley’s overtures for £20 million last summer.

Crysencio Summerville to leave Leeds United?

It all depends on whether Leeds manage to get promoted to the Premier League.

If they fail in their pursuit, they would have to accept a lower fee for the player.

If they manage to get promoted, they can demand as much as they want as they would be in a stronger position.

Leeds United have a gem in their ranks

Summerville has the potential to shine on the biggest stage considering how he has performed in the Championship.

It is not a surprise to see interest from some of the biggest clubs in the world in his services.

The player has also caught the attention of Premier League clubs with Liverpool and Tottenham at the forefront of the clubs eyeing him.

Leeds United have a gem who they could either use to generate funds or keep him at the club to maintain their competitiveness.
