Man United ace, Marcus Rashford, has been dealt the ultimate snub by Juventus, after the Italian giants knocked back the chance of signing the England international in favour of a potential pursuit of a player that’s scored on just three occasions in the current Premier League season.

It’s not been a vintage Premier League season for Man United or for Marcus Rashford personally, with the board of the club making their opinions on their striker crystal clear.

Stan Collymore is just one ex-pro, now pundit, to suggest that it’s it’s time for Rashford to leave Old Trafford.

The stumbling block of course is his £300,000 per week wages (Capology). Even under normal circumstances, that’s a salary at the top end, but given his poor current form, it’s arguable that Rashford isn’t worth anywhere close to that outlay at present.

It’s surely in everyone’s best interests that he’s moved on as quickly as practicable, though he has been dealt the ultimate snub by Italian giants, Juventus.

According to The Sun, the Bianconeri have baulked at the chance to sign Rashford, but would instead prefer his team-mate, Joshua Zirkzee, signed from Bologna in the summer and who has managed a pathetic three Premier League goals since the start of the season (transfermarkt).

Juve want Zirkzee instead of Marcus Rashford

The link perhaps isn’t such a surprise, given that Zirkzee’s manager at Bologna, Thiago Motta, is now in the same position at Juve, and it’s understood that the Dutch striker’s stock in Italy remains high.

What the snub is likely to do for Rashford is further knock the confidence of a player that would appear to be at his lowest ebb as a professional footballer.

It would seem that the best he can hope for at this stage is a loan move away from Man United, and the chance to resurrect his career elsewhere, and away from the constant glare of publicity.

  1. Your use of the word pathetic in your headline is a disgrace. Joshua Zirkzee is an exceptional player. He is new to the premier league and needs consistent minutes to establish himself. He has scored goals wherever he has gone and will again at United if given the chance. This headline is frankly embarrassing and demonstrates precisely how your website and thousands like it make money out of scorn, derision and hate when success is not available. Disgusting.

    1. That would suggest you think that three goals is an acceptable return for a striker playing for one of the best clubs in the world?

      1. It is typical English media, reporting. If a player is not English he is pathetic… useless…no good. But your so called English players that are not performing like Rashford is handle with sympathy at big clubs.

        1. Exactly this and I’m English. We need to stop listening to insular people like neville and demand an end to this brexit nonsense. English managers and players suck. The only good English players are all coached by foreign managers while no English manager has ever won the PL (4 Italians have). The last non-Italian to win Serie A was Jose Mourinho in 2010 (as part of Inter’s Treble win). The last before him was the late Sven Goran Eriksson with Lazio a decade before.

    2. You cannot change a club overnight.A 10 minute chat with a player by the manager will not bring immediate success.Saying I will do it my way is not the way to get all the players to buy into your plans. You need the support of all players to succeed.Goodluck

  2. They aren’t one of the best clubs in the world on form though, are they? Not even close. And as said by Will, Zirkzee is a young player new to the Premier League who has come into a shite team, and in fairness I think he’s only started 6 league games so far.

Can’t be calling him pathetic so early, that’s just not on.

    1. I think the word ‘pathetic’ was used to describe his very low goal haul this season, not the player himself. Why would they personally call him pathetic? It’s pretty obvious it’s referring to performance returns which is objectively ‘pathetic.’

    2. If he was English and pathetic like maguire, Shaw or Rashford, you’d hear cries of mental health
