Boggs congratulates Sam Allardyce on another job well done.
I HATE HIM.
In yet another hilarious bout of delusional paranoia, Fat Sam Allardyce has come out and complained that Kevin Davies does not get enough protection from referees.
In reacting to news that Davies will be out for six weeks with a cheek injury from a violent elbow against Charlton (an offence for which he was sent off later the same match),
“It is terrible news for Kevin and the squad,” Allardyce told the club’s official website.
“I feel for Kevin, he is the ultimate professional who always gives his best no matter what strain he is under from opposition defenders.
“It is appalling that Kevin doesn’t get the protection he deserves from referees.
“He is constantly put under duress by defenders and he never feigns injury or tries to con the referee by simulation.
“He is an honest professional who deserves to be protected more by the officials.”
Considering that Davies both committed the most fouls, and was fouled the most out of any player in the Premiership last season Allardyce is half right. But as usual we can trust him to completely ignore the half of the story that undermines his whinge.
If a player leads the statistics table in both categories, it’s down to his bloody style of play and no one elses. As much as Fat Sam would like to think, Kevin Davies is not such a World Class player that he commands attention from defenders like no other.
As Gordon Ramsey would say, “SHUT UP DAMNIT BEFORE I BEAT YOU WITH STICKS.”
