Ok, we get it, Andrei Shevchenko is out of form but it has to be considered insult to injury for Chelsea to be linked to ex-Liverpool and current Aston Villa headless chicken Milan Baros. In the ultimate display of agent-talk, Baros’ rep Pavel Paska reckons the only thing stopping his client from joining Chelsea is the lack of adequate replacement lined up by Martin O’Neill,
“Aston Villa are not willing to release Milan until they get an adequate replacement,” said Paska.
“They would like to bring in Shaun Wright-Phillips, but they have not reached an agreement so far.
“That is why the talks will continue in the next week.”
No wonder Mourinho is getting impatient.
