Everyone saw the Premiership matches they cared about, and it’s a rather lengthy process trudging through the match reports of every club that matters little to you – especially if you’re still carrying the stench of defeat.

This weekend, it could be that maybe Mr. C was right, that Cristiano Ronaldo and Didier Drogba are making everyone forget about the whole “diving” business, that Pardew probably won’t be collecting that extra 1 million from Charlton, that this transfer window really needs spicing up, or that 10 men just don’t play like 10 men used to.
