Two Newcastle players are having praise heaped on them recently. One you would expect – Obafemi Martins, he of 16 goals, and Titus Bramble – he of 16 match-costing errors.
On Martins, former Manchester City target man Antoine Sibierski chimed in,
“Everyone in Europe knows about Obafemi Martins – everyone in the world knows about him,” said the Frenchman, a player who has watched with interest as the unpredictable African has found his feet at St James’s Park. “He needs to be consistent and to play like he did against AZ in every match and, if he can do that, he will become one of the very best strikers in the world.
“He’s already one of the best strikers in Europe, in my opinion, and he has been a great signing. He’s on course to score 20 goals in his first season here. That would be a great achievement and it would give him even more confidence.”
On Bramble, fan site Newcastle Mad surprised us with some kind words,
Titus Bramble has returned from injury and set Newcastle alight with some superb performances. With a host of clubs willing to take the ex-Ipswich defender in the summer, is he ready to show the Toon fans what Sir Bobby Robson paid £5m for?
