Newcastle winger Charles N’Zogbia, rumoured to be target for the likes of Tottenham, Portsmouth and West Ham, threw a minor strop on the last day of the Premiership season against Watford.
“Charles was on the bench originally, but I changed it. He did not really want to be there (on the bench),” said Pearson.
“I have no idea whether he stayed at the ground to watch the game.”
Pearson stopped short of criticising the youngster, but made it clear that he took a dim view of his behaviour.
He added: “You can make your own judgements about it, but it is very important that everyone associated with the club acts in a professional manner.
“Will there be disciplinary action taken? That is something for this week.”
For those willing to grasp at straws, this means the winger’s future at the club is questionable and no doubt a whole host of bids will come flying in this summer. More likely, however, is that Fat Sam will get in his ear and the boy will become a world beater next season.
