When Arsenal loanee Jose Antonio Reyes put two goals away to give Real Madrid the La Liga title on the final day, it seemed like it could finally be the nail the coffin of his career with the Gunners. But weeks passed and no decision was made, leading some to believe that Arsene Wenger was making a last ditch effort to convince the Spaniard that there was a future for him in the Premiership.
Apparently, not so much…
Wenger told Sky Sports News: “I think he will go. There is no way to have an unhappy player.
“Despite the global warming England is still not warm enough for him.”
Wenger rarely strays from the straight and narrow, but this was a top class bit of sarcasm. Zing!
