Funnily enough Scotland don’t match pre-match hype

Following the talk up of McGeady and Scotland for that matter, the Scots failed to beat a somewhat out of touch Italy over the International break. Scotland lost to Italy 2-1, and the the likes of James McFadden are not only upset about their own performance, but also the referees.
According to SkySports, McFadden had a lot to say:
“We’re absolutely gutted…It was a horrible way to lose a game of football.

“It’s hard to take. I don’t know how to describe the feeling I’ve got.

“Everybody can see it’s a bad decision that cost us the game.”

Before Panucci’s goal, McFadden had an outstanding chance to win the game for Scotland, but slid his shot wide with the goal

“I should have scored, unfortunately I didn’t.

“I wish I was standing here as the man who had scored the goal to get us to the European Championship, but I haven’t.

“I just need to take it on the chin and get on with it.”

The Scots fail to win – and the Azzurri sneak in – yet again. Were Scotland hard done by? Or should they just get on with their lives?
