Oh we love how football throws things at us that seem just too good to be coincidence. But following Spurs’ transformation in the second half against some Danish club who wandered into White Hart Lane by accident, Dimitar Berbatov had some high praise for Juande Ramos,
“In the dressing room, he is more like a professor.
“He knows how to explain things so you understand and can do it on the pitch.”
Of course, the original “Professor” is Arsenals’ no-longer bespectacled manager Arsene Wenger. But it seems Juande is following suit with tactical analysis that could dissect a frog. Of course, the second part of this is whether Berbatov is taking a minor shot at previous boss Martin Jol who perhaps did not “explain things so you understand and can do it on the pitch”.
There’s a long way to go before Juande Ramos can even think about laying claim to being the top teacher in town, but let the nerd-based games begin!
