Celtic’s Derek Riordan allowed to leave Parkhead?

It has been reported that striker Derek Riordan, who signed from Hibernian in 2006, is allowed to leave. Celtic are willing to listen to offers for the striker who has failed to cement his place in the Hoops lineup. It has been claimed that Riordan’s agent Jim McArthur has stated that there has been interest from a Premier League side and two Championship sides for the services of the 24 year old. It has also been rumoured that the Heart of Midlothian F.C. have also expressed interest in the striker who scored 54 goals in 123 appearances for Hibernian.

The man who sang a chant along the lines of “fucking refugee” in reference to Czech International Rudi Skácel is now demanding a move to another club. Thankfully, Celtic FC and its supporters already have too much recklessness within the ranks – as shown by the incident with AC Milan’s goalkeeper Dida – and therefore the services of Riordan within the Hoops are seemingly over.
