Arsene Wenger has informed anxious fans of the condition of Spanish star Francesc Fabregas. Arsenal’s young and commanding central midfielder has not been on the pitch since he limped off in Arsenal’s second Sevilla game in the Champions League. He has missed out on games against Aston Villa, Newcastle and Middlesbrough- and ironically, Arsenal have only gained 4 points out of a possible 9.
Arsene Wenger said:
“We haven’t set any date for his return yet”
“Cesc is not with the group at all; he is with the medical people being treated. He is working very hard.
“Cesc is very impatient, but he is not back yet.”
Is Arsenal a one man team? Is Francesc Fabregas the core of Arsenal’s stability? Or has Arsenal, coincidentally, hit a patch of ill-form? The Chelsea game, with or without the likes of van Persie, Fabregas, Flamini and Hleb, will surely define the strength of Arsene Wenger’s Red and White Army.
