Another playmaker said to be on Tottenham’s radar is Bosnian international Miralem Pjanic.
The 23 year old is known to new technical director Franco Baldini, who is well aware of the Bosnian’s capabilities from his own time at the club.
Given that Roma have brought in new boss Rudi Garcia there is perhaps just enough uncertainty at the Stadio Olimpico to warrant a move for the former Lyon man, not least because Roma failed to secure even a Europa League spot for this campaign.
Pjanic has already racked up over 200 top tier appearances and could provide Villas-Boas’s side with a new dimension and an ideal link between midfield and attack, very handy at set-pieces to boot.
