Ten ten transfers in history that made the selling club the most profit.
10. Radamel Falcao (Net profit: £30.8m)
The Colombian has established himself as one of the deadliest strikers in world football but was snapped up by Porto for a mere £3.9m from River Plate in 2009. The Primera Liga club, who have a reputation for making huge profits on players, soon realised they’d found another bargain. Falcao scored a staggering 72 in 87 appearances in Portugal, prompting Atletico Madrid to cough up £34.7m to bring him to Spain. Astonishingly, the La Liga club made a tidy profit of their own this summer, when they flogged Falcao to AS Monaco for a reported £49m.
