Atleti want Frenchman to replace their departing No 1.
La Liga high flyers Atletico de Madrid are interested in signing highly rated Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for next season, according to reports in the Daily Mirror.

The La Liga outfit’s current No 1 at the Vincente Calderon is Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois, however, the brilliant Belgium international is only on loan in the Spanish capital.
However, with the west London club set to recall Courtois to Stamford Bridge when his season-long loan spell comes to an end at the climax to this campaign, Atleti are said to already be preparing for life without the young Belgium between their posts.
And to that effect it is understood that Atletico head coach Diego Simeone has made the Tottenham shot stopper his number one target for when the summer transfer window reopens once again for business.
Lloris only moved to White Lart Lane from Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais in August 2012 for an initial fee of just €10m, with the 27-year-old having since gone on to establish himself as one of the most impressive and solid goalkeepers in the Premier League.
But the France international has also recently warned the north Londoners that he may have to consider his future at the club this summer of Spurs fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
