Catalans now have one foot firmly in the quarter-finals.
FC Barcelona’s players were in a celebratory mood on Tuesday night following their convincing 2-0 win against Manchester City in the first leg of their Uefa Champions League round-of-16 clash at Eastlands.

The La Liga champions flew back to Spain with one foot placed firmly in the last eight of Europe’s premier club competition and judging by the wide smiles on display in the visitors’ dressing room after the full-time whistle, then the Catalans are clearly confident of progressing safely through to the next round.
Former Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas took to social media site Instagram to post a picture from the Barca changing room showing the likes of himself, Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez all celebrating their comfortable win over Manuel Pellegrini’s outfit in the north west.
And by the looks of it, Barcelona are not expecting any upsets either when the two sides meet again at Camp Nou in three weeks’ time …
