The exciting England Under-19 international has largely found himself warming the substitutes’ bench at Anfield so far in this campaign under head coach Brendan Rodgers.

And as a result, it is understood that the Northern Irishman now wants the 18-year-old to be sent out on a short-term loan spell to St Andrews in order for the winger to gain some valuable playing time between now and the end of the season.

So far, Ibe has featured in only the two matches in total for the Merseysiders in this campaign, one in the Premier League and one in the Capital One Cup, with the Englishman proving an assist in the latter.

However, in order to carry on progressing in his career – Ibe has been at Anfield now since December 2011, when the attacker joined the club from Wycombe Wanderers for an undisclosed fee – Rodgers and he club feel that their starlet should now drop down a division.
