The 18-year-old, who has been dubbed the new Sergio Aguero back in his homeland due to his similarities to City’s deadly Argentina international, has been catching the attentions of the likes of La Liga duo Atletico de Madrid and FC Barcelona, as well as Serie A outfit Napoli and Premier League giants Arsenal too of late.

And now it is believed that the big-spending north-west team sent their own scouts over to the Argentinian capital on Wednesday night to watch the attacking starlet in action first hand as City head coach Manuel Pellegrini ponders whether or not to make his own move for Correa this summer.

However, those potential suitors who are interested in signing the wonderkid for next season are set to face a tough fight to win the player’s signature after it emerged that San Lorenzo owner, media magnate Marcelo Tinelli, wants to keep hold of his prize asset in Argentina for as long as possible.
