German water carrier has a contract with Real that runs until June 2015.

La Liga giants Real Madrid are set to offload a number of star players at the end of the season as the club embark on a major overhaul of their first-team squad at the Santiago Bernabeu, with key holding midfielder Sami Khedira believed to be one of those men heading for the exit according to reports on talkSPORT.co.uk.

The highly rated Germany international is currently sidelined with a long-term knee injury which he picked up while playing for his country in a friendly against Italy last November, although the player could possibly be back to full fitness before the end of the campaign if all goes according to plan.

However, it appears as though even if that best-case scenario were to materialise, Khedira has already played in his final match for los Blancos, with Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti set to axe the midfielder, along with both goalkeeper Iker Casillas and Argentinian wide man Angel Di Maria this summer.

And that news will have put Premier League champions Manchester United and Uefa Europa League holders Chelsea on red alert, with both those two clubs known to be interested in landing the 26-year-old.
