The highly rated Colombia international has been the subject of huge interest in his services from a whole host of Premier League clubs of late, with the likes of champions Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur having all been heavily linked with the 27-year-old in recent weeks.
However, in the end the South American star opted to reject the chance to join one of those clubs in the recent January transfer window, and Guarin has now also confirmed that he will also remain with Inter this summer too.
“After what happened with the proposed move [to Juventus], I had to work more, because supporters are expecting a lot from me,” said Guarin.
“The recent experience taught me a lot and if the contract is ready, I will sign it.
“Should Erick Thohir (Inter president) offer me the chance to sign for life with Inter, then I would.
“Mr Thohir has said that I am important and that I must give my heart to the team.”
