The experienced Cameroon international has been making all the headlines in England this week after the west London club’s head coach Jose Mourinho mocked the player during a conversation with a Swiss businessman which the Portuguese believed was off the record.

However, in fact the whole conversation had been filmed, with the Special One claiming that his 32-year-old attacker is actually much older than he claims to be.

Now it is understood though that Inter are hoping to be able to re-sign a player who starred for the club for two years between 2009 and 2011, during which time the Italian outfit won two Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia’s, the Uefa Champions League and the Fifa World Club Cup.

And with Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir having recently bought the club, the billionaire is said to be desperate to return Inter to winning ways next season by embarking on a major overhaul of the first-team squad this summer.
