The Italian outfit have recently come under new ownership, with Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir buying the club and the billionaire now wants to radically reshape the first-team squad at San Siro this summer in order to challenge for the title next season.
So far, Inter have made moves for the Manchester United defensive duo of Nemanja Vidic and Patrice Evra, with both those two players expected to shortly confirm their intention to join the club on Bosman fee transfers next season.
However, Inter are also said to be chasing a third Premier League defender this summer in the shape of Arsenal full-back Sagna, with the France international also set to be available to purchase on a lucrative free transfer as of July 1.
And if reports in Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday are to be believed, then Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has flown to London this week in order to hold face-to-face discussions with Sagna about the defender moving to San Siro next season.
