Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan are set to go head to head at the end of the season in the battle to land out-of-favour Southampton front man Dani Osvaldo, according to reports in the Sun.

The powerful Italy international was sent out on a six-month loan deal to Serie A champions Juventus in the January transfer window after a training-ground altercation involving Saints team-mate Jose Fonte.

And with the south coast club understood to have no interest in the Italian returning to St Mary’s when his short-term switch to the Old Lady of Italian Football comes to an end this summer, both Juve and arch rivals Inter are believed to be preparing to go head to head in order to win the 28-year-old’s signature.
