GK) Lukas Fabianski
Fabianski has proved an able deputy in the FA Cup this term, and should be given the nod once again ahead of Wojciech Szczesny.
DR) Bacary Sagna
There’s a chance Wenger could play Carl Jenkinson, but with the FA Cup looking like Arsenal’s best chance of silverware in eight years, he will likely deploy his best fullback, Sagna.
DC) Laurent Koscielny
The Frenchman provides the defence guile, and expert positioning, and should start alongside Mertesacker, like he has done for virtually the entire season.
DC) Per Mertesacker
Mertesacker will be charged with dealing with the dangerous Romelu Lukaku up top, and he’ll be desperate to celebrate his newly awarded contract extension with a clean sheet.
DL) Kieran Gibbs
Spaniard Nacho Monreal is crocked, meaning Gibbs will surely take his regular place on the left of the back four.
MC) Mikel Arteta
Arteta should take up the anchorman role in the centre, especially as Aaron Ramsey is not yet fit to return, and Jack Wilshere has been cruelly ruled out for the next five weeks.
MC) Mathieu Flamini
Versus Stoke last weekend, Arsenal badly missed Flamini’s work-rate and energy in the midfield, and we’re pretty sure Arsene Wenger will recall the midfield dynamo against the Toffees.
AMC) Mesut Ozil
Ozil’s form has tailed off in 2014 – so much so, he’s been dropped for Arsenal’s past two fixtures. After losing to Stoke though, Wenger knows his side needs a spark of creative genius, and as he showed for Germany midweek, Ozil can provide exactly that.
AMR) Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Oxlade-Chamberlain will still be relatively fresh after being given only a cameo against Denmark for England. Tomas Rosicky, who like Mertesacker has signed a contract extension, will provide an option from the bench.
AML) Santi Cazorla
On his day, Cazorla can carve open any defence in the Premier League, and Wenger will be hoping his Spanish shows up at the Emirates today after his poor outing last weekend versus the Potters.
FC) Yaya Sanogo
Sanogo started Arsenal’s last FA Cup match against Liverpool, and did pretty well. He can hold the ball up well, and with first-choice forward Olivier Giroud in need of a rest, Sanogo will likely play up front on his own.
