Here are seven players the Emirates Stadium boss can well consider cashing-in on.

Thomas Vermaelen – Estimated Value £10m

Belgian, and former captain, is simply too good to be wasting away on the bench and Arsene Wenger would do well to allow the former Ajax man to leave, not least as doing so could net him a decent sum.

Vermaelen has made just eight Premier League starts since March 2013 and the adaptable defender is of sufficient quality to secure a move to another Champions League level side and if the 28 year old has a solid World Cup campaign then Arsenal could look to bank £10m or more from his sale.

Nacho Monreal – Estimated Value £6m

Spanish right-back has largely disappointed since moving to the Premier League in January 2013. The former Malaga man is often found out of position and is a player who is yet to deliver on his obvious potential.

England man Kieran Gibbs has comfortably seen of Monreal’s challenge for his place in the Gunners starting eleven so perhaps a move back to La Liga would interest the 28 year old?

Mikel Arteta – Estimated Value £7m

The usually reliable midfielder had a fairly average campaign in 2013/14 and has just a year to run on his current deal and with no new deal on the table one imagines it may be time for the former Everton man to leave the Emirates Stadium.

The 32 year old was often found wanting last term and frequently overrun by opposition midfielders and is a shadow of the player Arsene Wenger signed back in 2011. The time is right to sell the Spaniard.

Lukas Podolski – Estimated Value £12m

The forward missed much of last term through injury and though the experienced attacker showed glimpses of what he is capable of it may still be time for Arsene Wenger to consider selling the German international.

The 29 year old is yet to really prove himself since his move to north London two years ago, and too often he vanishes from the action and his record of 19 goals in 53 Premier League appearance is nothing to write home about.

A move back to the Bundesliga would appear the most likely move for the former Bayern Munich and Koln man.

Abou Diaby – Estimated Value £5m

Whilst injuries may have decimated Abou Diaby’s recent Arsenal career it’s fair to say that the French midfielder has flattered to deceive when fully fit and Arsene Wenger must surely be considering selling the bit part player this summer.

The 28 year old has made just 16 Premier League appearances in the past three seasons is perhaps one injury short of calling time on his footballing career, best then to sell the tough tackler while Arsenal can still profit from his sale.

Park Chu-Young – Estimated Value £3m

Arsene Wenger will hope that the South Korean uses the World Cup as an effective shop window for his talents though in fairness the north London club may be best off just releasing the former AS Monaco man.

The capture of the misfiring forward has to rank as one of the most bizarre signings Wenger has made as Gunners boss.

Thus far the striker has managed just eight minutes of Premier League action.

Ryo Miyaichi – Estimated Value £5m

Japanese winger promised much when he first burst onto the scene, and impressed during his loan spell at Feyenoord, but has arguably never delivered the goods.

Fully three years since Arsenal signed the youngster and still the 21 year old has managed just one top tier start for the Gunners, a player who is running out of time to prove himself and could perhaps benefit from a permanent switch away from the Emirates Stadium this summer.
