Here’s some stars we think deserve recognition for their summer’s work at Brazil 2014…

The World Cup is over, and as it kept us entertained and transfixed throughout the summer, it’ll be sorely missed.
Germany were crowned champions, with Colombia’s James Rodriguez picking up the Golden Boot, but here’s some others we think are richly deserving of a mention!
10) Craziest manager:
This guy is exceptional…
We present to you, Mexico’s manager, Miguel Herrera. May you grace us with your presence at many World Cups to come.

9) Worst haircut: Bald on top, rat tail at the back. Rodrigo Palacio, this is truly, truly vile.

8) Coolest skill: Cristiano Ronaldo had about as poor a tournament as possible by his standards, but he still pulled off this piece trickery against the USA…
Enjoy.
7) The best face puller:
Phil Jones might have run him close had he earned more game time for England, but Holland’s Bruno Martins Indi wins this one hands down!

6) Most embarrassing injury: England physio Gary Lewin got so excited by his side’s equaliser against Italy, he joined in with the manic celebrations, and tore his ankle ligaments as a result. He had to fly home for surgery, and the Three Lions didn’t take too long to join him…

5) The Golden Teeth award: Nobody bites like the £75m Uruguayan, and he deserves to be recognised because of it.

4) Bravest reporter:
ESPN reporter Jeremy Schaap carries in like nothing’s happening, despite being covered in Brazilian locusts.

3)Pass of the tournament: The only thing that matched Daley Blind’s pass here was Robin van Persie’s finish. Jaw-dropping.
2) Most hilariously ineffectual heatmap:
This is Fred’s actual heat map from Brazil’s humiliation against Germany in the semi-finals.
In case you’re wondering why he did so much work in the centre of the park, that’s because he had to take seven re-starts.

1) The person we’re most jealous of:
Mario Gotze is 22-years-old, he just scored the winner in the World Cup final, and this is his girlfriend.
Sigh.
I think Gotze has won at life … (That is Gotze’s girlfriend) #iwanttobeafootballstar pic.twitter.com/bdFm9PcLwi
