5) Roberto Soldado (Tottenham Hotspur)

Supposedly a loan target for La Liga champions Atletico Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur could be set to offload Spanish flop Roberto Soldado in the near future, with last summer’s big-money signing from Valencia looking like a badly misjudged signing for the north London club. New manager Mauricio Pochettino will no doubt have striker targets of his own in mind, including one on this list, so it would be no surprise to see Soldado shipped off as soon as possible.

4) Fernando Torres (Chelsea)

After a disastrous few years at Chelsea, the club may finally be set to let former Liverpool star Fernando Torres leave for a new challenge. Wolfsburg have recently emerged as leading contenders to snap up the unsettled Spaniard, who will surely now be third choice upfront for Jose Mourinho after the signings of Diego Costa and Didier Drogba. Inter Milan have also been linked with Torres this summer, and a move looks likely sooner rather than later.

3) Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke)

Linked with both Tottenham and Liverpool, Schalke striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar is one of the best goal-poachers in the game at the moment and would make a great signing for whoever wins the race for his signature. The Dutchman’s agent claims that his client is also in talks with a number of Turkish clubs, with an imminent departure from the Bundesliga side looking increasingly likely. Spurs would make sense as a next destination for him, while Liverpool reportedly have their eyes on some bigger targets upfront.

2) Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain)

One name on Liverpool’s list is Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani. The Uruguayan front-man has not quite settled in to life in France and his agent has admitted that he is looking for a move to the Premier League. Arsenal have also made an approach for him, while the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with him at points this summer. With PSG needing to sell to adhere to Uefa’s Financial Fair Play laws, this sale certainly looks on and could happen quickly if the right offer comes in.

1) Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco)

Reportedly closing in on a move to Real Madrid, Radamel Falcao looks set to end his season-long stay with AS Monaco quickly after becoming unhappy with life in Ligue 1. Liverpool and Manchester City have also shown a late interest in the prolific Colombian international, who established himself as one of the best strikers in the world during his previous stint in La Liga with Atletico Madrid. Expected to join on an initial loan to Real, he will complete a permanent transfer to the Bernabeu next summer.
