Spanish publication MARCA have hinted that Real Madrid may put out this strong side tonight, to maximise new superstar signing James Rodriguez.

GK) Iker Casillas

The legendary ‘keeper is set to be given the starting spot tonight, as it’s a cup match and not a league one, whereas new signing Keylor Navas could get the nod instead in La Liga.

DR) Dani Carvajal

The impressive Spanish right-back is improving with age, and will hope to get his season off to a solid start, and keep Alvaro Arbeloa out of the side.

DL) Fabio Coentrao

Coentrao was selected more often than Marcelo in the second half of last season, and his added defensive nous could see him picked for tonight’s Super Cup encounter.

DC) Pepe

Hard as nails, and frighteningly competitive, Pepe will hope to get the nod ahead of youngster Raphale Varane.

DC) Sergio Ramos

One of the very best centre-backs in the world, Ramos will be charged with keeping Carlos Bacca quiet, if the Colombian striker is selected.

MC) Luka Modric

Alongside new signing Toni Kroos, excellent Croatian playmaker Modric will look to dictate tempo and dominate possession for the Champions League holders.

MC) Toni Kroos

The wonderful German will hope to shine in front of an expectant crowd tonight, having just played a key role in his county’s World Cup triumph.

AMR) Gareth Bale

Back in his home country, the £85m wing sensation will hope to mark his return with a trademark left-footed strike, with MARCA reporting that all Real Madrid’s household attackers will be starting.

AMC) James Rodriguez

Although Lionel Messi won the Golden Ball, James Rodriguez was easily the World Cup’s best player. The Colombian moved to Real Madrid for £63m earlier in the summer, and has the ability to reach the highest echelons of the game.

AML) Cristiano Ronaldo

Ronaldo bagged over 50 goals in all competitions last season, and won the Ballon D’or midway through the campaign due to his scintillating form.

FC) Karim Benzema

Benzema holds the ball up well, and will be the spearhead for the phenomenal onrushing attackers.
