Five observations from the King Power Stadium.

Arsenal endured a frustrating afternoon at the King Power Stadium, after a well-drilled Leicester City unit earned a well deserved point after an entertaining 1-1 draw in the East Midlands.

Alexis Sanchez bagged his first Premier League goal for the Gunners in the first half, but a towering header from Leonardo Ulloa just two minutes later was enough to earn a point for the Foxes, maintaining their unbeaten start on home turf.

Here are five things we took from the clash:

Arsenal really need to sign a striker

It may seem obvious to everyone – but Arsenal really need to look into replacing the stricken Olivier Giroud with a new buy on transfer deadline day tomorrow. Youngster Yaya Sanogo toiled upfront in the Leicestershire sun and got little change out of the impressive Wes Morgan and Liam Moore, whilst Sanchez looked more impressive playing in a deeper role – which, surely, is all of the evidence needed to convince Wenger to bring in one more player tomorrow.

The King Power is a very tough place to visit

Leicester’s King Power Stadium doesn’t look like the most intimidating place, but Nigel Pearson’s well organised side will make life difficult for anyone rolling into town. Central midfielders Andy King, Dean Hammond and Danny Drinkwater all look very solid, with Esteban Cambiasso still to be introduced, whilst central defensive pairing Wes Morgan and Liam Moore were imperious and David Nugent and Jamie Vardy provide pace on the break.

Arsenal still look susceptible to injuries

Who knows whether it is luck or judgement, but Arsenal still seem to be have a strange susceptibility to getting injured despite changing their fitness staff in the summer, with Olivier Giroud and Mikel Arteta’s early season injuries followed up by Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, both of whom seemed to pick up knocks this afternoon.

Leicester still need to prove themselves against the teams around them

With two draws and a noble defeat at Stamford Bridge, Nigel Pearson and Leicester City have certainly now proven themselves capable of frustrating the division’s better sides – but different and, in all likelihood, much more important tests lie ahead when they face the other teams likely to be in the relegation shake-up. Will the Foxes be quite so impressive when it comes to beating the sides around them?

Arsenal are yet to find the right blend in attacking midfield

Whilst Alexis Sanchez impressed for the Gunners and notched his first Premier League goal for the club, they still didn’t seem particularly fluid in attacking midfield, with Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla lining up alongside the Chilean. With Theo Walcott still to come back, Arsene Wenger needs to try and strike the right balance quickly.
