The Gunners have shown they can be a force in the transfer market again in recent times, spending big money on the likes of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez in the last year, and they could soon be joined at the Emirates Stadium by more world class players.

Attacking signings appear to be on the agenda, with Wenger selecting the following three players as among his main targets in a forthcoming spending spree.

3) Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund)

With a £20m release clause set to come into effect next summer, Borussia Dortmund star could be one of the cheaper options in Arsenal’s sights, though the German international would be a highly exciting addition to this Gunners squad, possibly arriving as a replacement for the under-performing Mesut Ozil.

2) Paul Pogba (Juventus)

Valued at around £60m, Paul Pogba could move in a deal that would smash Arsenal’s transfer record. The former Manchester United youngster has risen to world class levels since joining Juventus, and has since been linked with a big-money return to Old Trafford, as well as to the likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain. Still, the young Frenchman would be a big hit at Arsenal and could shine under the guidance of Arsene Wenger, who has a great record with promising young players.

1) Edinson Cavani (Paris Saint-Germain)

In a deal possibly worth £55m, Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani could also make his way to Arsenal next summer as the Gunners look to improve on their current options upfront. The prolific Uruguayan is known to be unhappy at his current club and continues to be linked with a move to Arsenal and other top Premier League clubs.
