Premier League rivals Liverpool and Chelsea have both scouted Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Julian Brandt recently, with a January transfer possibly on the cards.
Here are nine things fans should know about the 18-year-old midfielder.
9. He was part of the Germany team who won the Under-19 European Championship in Hungary this summer. In total, he has been capped 14 times at U19 level, scoring two goals.
8. Brandt joined Leverkusen from Wolfsburg last January, signing a five-and-a-half-year contract.
7. He scored two goals and provided two assists in 12 Bundesliga games for Leverkusen last season. He has made two substitute league appearances this term, scoring once.
