Goals scored against your rivals mean that little bit more, something you can see in the eyes of the players when they pull something from the top drawer.

Here are ten of the greatest goals in the history of the North London derby.

10) Tomas Rosicky – 2013/14

The goal that separated the two sides, a powerful drive from a very tight angle. Definitely one of the Czech’s greatest goals of all time.

9) Robert Pires – 2001/02

A rocket of a long range strike that the keeper couldn’t keep out despite getting a hand to it. A brilliant goal from one of Arsenal’s all time greats.

8) Cesc Fabregas – 2007/08

Arsenal’s former captain sets himself before blasting a shot into the top corner from outside the box.

7) Paul Gascoigne – 1990/91

England and Tottenham legend, an unbelievable free kick in the FA Cup Semi-Final.

6) Cesc Fabregas 2009/10

Having seen Robin van Persie slot the ball into the back of the net moments earlier, Tottenham were dispossessed from the restart and Cesc Fabregas dribbled the length of the pitch to score. It all happened so fast that replays of the previous goal were still being shown when the Spaniard netted the second.

5) Robin van Persie 2011/12

After Sagna scored the goal that ignited the comeback, Robin van Persie scored this leveller before the Arsenal floodgates really opened. A sublime turn and finish from the Dutchman.

4) David Bentley 2008/09

Arsenal’s former man coming back to haunt them, an unbelievable strike from David Bentley. Seeing the keeper off his line he struck this beautifully in a historic 4-4 North London derby.

3) Emmanuel Adebayor 2007/08

With the Togo international now plying his trade at White Hart Lane Arsenal fans are unlikely to talk about this goal much, but it was a volley of real class from the former Arsenal man.

2) Danny Rose 2009/10

Many still say this goal was unintentional from the Tottenham left-back, but only he will ever really know. On Danny Rose’s debut he struck this absolute wonder goal against Arsenal, the defender guaranteed not to score another one like it in his career.

1) Thierry Henry 2002/03

It is only fitting that Arsenal’s king be awarded the top spot. This superb solo effort sees the Frenchman dribble from his own half before dazzling Spurs’ defenders with his quick feet and slotting in a typical Thierry Henry finish.
