Liverpool desperately need a Premier League victory in the Merseyside derby on Saturday, following consecutive defeats to Aston Villa and West Ham.
Daniel Sturridge is in contention for a start, and we reckon Brendan Rodgers will have no choice but to start the brilliant forward.
Here’s how we think the Reds will lineup:
GK) Simon Mignolet
With no ample replacement, Mignolet will start between the sticks.
DR) Javier Manquillo
Glen Johnson and Jon Flanagan are still injured, meaning the rookie Spaniard will continue.
DC) Martin Skrtel
The Slovakian is the first-choice centre-back when fit.
DC) Dejan Lovren
Despite consistently poor performances, Rodgers is sure to select his £20m Croatian summer signing ahead of Mamadou Sakho.
DL) Jose Enrique
Because of his defensive ability, we reckon Enrique will be favoured over Alberto Moreno, despite the fact the £12m summer signing was rested for the League Cup penalty win over Middlesbrough.
DMC) Steven Gerrard
The skipper will likely be restored to his anchorman role.
MC) Jordan Henderson
Henderson’s been struggling with an injury, but he’ll almost certainly be recalled for the crunch derby match.
MC) Adam Lallana
Making up the rest of the midfield three, Lallana should be given the nod, with Joe Allen and Coutinho unavailable injured.
AMC) Raheem Sterling
The wonderkid could be awarded the spot at the tip of the diamond, with Balotelli and Sturridge starting up top.
FC) Mario Balotelli
Mario’s scored once for Liverpool so far, and will be keen on opening his Premier League account against his club’s bitter rivals.
FC) Daniel Sturridge
Sturridge is crucial to Liverpool now Luis Suarez has left, and fans will be hoping he’s fit enough to contribute.
