Here are the 20 top scorers in Europe this season:

20) Nolito – Celta Vigo – 4 goals

The Spaniard has notched four goals in five starts despite operating from the left-wing.

19) Leo Baptistao – Rayo Vallecano – 4 goals

Rayo Vallecano have been over performing slightly with a brace from Leo Baptistao in his last game bringing him to four in total.

18) Juan Manuel Falcon – Metz – 4 goals

Venezuelan striker Juan Manuel Falcon has impressed early on this season, but can he continue his form with FC Metz?

17) Graziano Pelle – Southampton – 4 goals

Arguably one of the Premier League signings of the season so far, the perfect Rickie Lambert replacement.

16) Gareth Bale – Real Madrid – 4 goals

When essentially playing second fiddle to one of the greatest ever players, four goals is not bad at all from the Welshman in Spain.

15) Paco Alcacer – Valencia – 4 goals

Valencia’s highly sought after striker, linked with moves to numerous Premier League teams, and he’s showing why already.

14) Diego Rolan – Bordeaux – 4 goals

Bordeaux have won six of their eight games so far, and Rolan is a big part of that contributing four goals.

13) Carlos Tevez – Juventus – 4 goals

After being left out in the cold at Manchester City, the Argentine has really started to shine once again since his move to Serie A.

12) Carlos Bacca – Sevilla – 4 goals

Sevilla are doing well in La Liga so far, currently sat in fourth above Real Madrid, thanks in part to the Colombian forward.

11) Alexandre Lacazette – Lyon – 4 goals

The young Frenchman was once tipped for big things, and although he hasn’t quite reached the heights expected of him yet he is still scoring freely for Lyon.

10) Alberto Bueno – Rayo Vallecano – 4 goals

Alberto Bueno will definitely have a large say along with Leo Baptistao in where Vallecano finish this season.

9) Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Paris Saint Germain – 5 goals

No surprise to see the arrogant Swede high up in the list, his attitude is sometimes questionable but there is no questioning he is one of the most talented strikers in the world.

8) Wissam Ben Yedder – Toulouse – 5 goals

Toulouse have been scoring plenty of goals this season, but unfortunately they have been leaky at the back too. Without Wissam Ben Yedder’s goals they would have been far lower in the table.

7) Shinji Okazaki – Mainz 05 – 5 goals

Despite only two wins so far, Mainz 05 are currently fourth in Bundesliga. Okazaki scoring five of the team’s 9 goals.

6) Lionel Messi – Barcelona – 5 goals

The only surprise here really is that the minuscule magician isn’t high on the table, with Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Luis Suarez returning soon Barcelona truly do have a very frightening front line.

5) Leanardo Ulloa – Leicester City – 5 goals

An unbelievable bargain for Leicester City at just £8m, Ulloa has been a huge part of the newly promoted club’s early form.

4) Neymar – Barcelona – 6 goals

Currently pipping his teammate Messi in the list, the Brazilian is in fine goalscoring form despite usually playing less centrally than the Argentine.

3) Diego Costa – Chelsea – 8 goals

With Costa’s blistering start to the season it’s difficult to see how he isn’t top of the list, the Brazilian born Spanish international already looking like firing Chelsea to silverware.

2) Andre-Pierre Gignac – Marseille – 8 goals

A somewhat shock inclusion so high up the list, Marseille are currently sat first in Ligue 1 and have scored a phenomenal 21 goals already; Gignac with eight of those. Liverpool are rumoured to be heavily interested in his signature.

1) Cristiano Ronaldo – Real Madrid – 10 goals

Arguably the world’s greatest player at the moment, Real Madrid may not be performing at their best but Ronaldo certainly is. Clear at the top by two goals already, and no signs of slowing down.
