Liverpool face battle to tie Raheem Sterling down to a new contract
The impressive form of the 19-year-old has seen the Reds looking to extend his current £30,000-a-week contract, according to the Daily Mail.
However, with two years remaining on his current deal Sterling is in no rush to sign anything new and is keeping his options open as his reputation rises.
In comparison to fellow Englishmen of the same age the forward is underpaid, with Arsenal’s Calum Chambers earning £40,000-a-week and Luke Shaw on an astonishing £90,000-a-week at Manchester United.
