Worryingly for the MLS, only two sides have a better passes per possession ratio than their English counterparts. 18th-placed Chivas USA have 2.52 compared to Leicester City’s 2.50, and 19th-placed Chicago Fire have 2.50 compared to Burnley’s 2.48.
Crystal Palace have no direct comparison.
At the top end, Manchester City are more than 25% better than LA Galaxy.
